THE KINGDOM BUILDERS

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Mission: To spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to rural school-aged children through evangelism, discipling, and multiplying by means of well-proven methods.

A Life Dedicated to the Great Commission

The Kingdom Builders Ministry supports leaders committed to children’s ministry, and one man’s obedience is helping carry the gospel across East Africa. Harold Nkhunika of Malawi has spent decades reaching schools, churches, and entire communities with the hope of Jesus while training a growing network of leaders to multiply that impact across 11 countries.

His service for the Lord began 34 years ago when he trusted Jesus as his Savior at age 16 and dedicated his life to youth ministry at Easter in 1988. In 1991, he was elected as national Youth President. Two years later, while studying theology, he sensed God’s call to missions.

Harold speaks 13 languages and has ministered in 11 countries, including Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa. His commitment to the Great Commission is remarkable.

By Foot, Bicycle, and Motorcycle

He has traveled by foot, car, boat, plane, and bicycle. From 2000 to 2004, he sometimes cycled up to 140 miles a day, arriving as late as midnight to minister. Later, the Lord provided a motorcycle, enabling him to reach even more communities.

Meeting Spiritual and Practical Needs

Harold’s ministry addresses both spiritual and practical needs. He provides agricultural seeds to help families grow food, soccer balls for schools that may have only one for the entire student body, and Bibles for the Good News Clubs held in schools and churches. Most importantly, he shares the greatest gift of all: salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Because many people have never heard the gospel, Harold also uses a projector to show the Jesus Film from village to village, sometimes reaching communities of more than 10,000 people. He longs to establish churches wherever none exist. Each year, new churches are planted, and he has personally helped build 47 churches so local believers can worship together in their own communities.

Investing in People

His greatest investment is in people. Each month, teams of leaders he has trained visit schools and churches to equip teachers and ministry workers with biblical instruction, Bibles, and essential teaching materials. Through this ongoing training, others are prepared to teach God’s Word faithfully and fulfill the Great Commission.

Under Harold’s leadership, these devoted workers extend the ministry locally and internationally, including Modester, Patience, Peacewell, James, Felias, Jimmy, Michael, Heavison, Thomas, Lewis, Isaac, Albetino of Mozambique, Nelson of Zambia, and Nelson of Tanzania.

Harold’s life reminds us that one faithful servant can multiply his impact through countless others. As he trains leaders, reaches unreached communities, and helps establish churches, the gospel spreads far beyond what one person could accomplish alone. We thank the Lord for Harold and for all those who serve alongside him to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to the people of East Africa.
